STEP Program
Members of our community, typically referred from other agencies and currently receiving SNAP benefits can take part in our STEP program to receive job training and access free transportation. Committed STEP program trainees will have the opportunity for short term employment with our team and associated on-the-job training. This experience will help provide skills, stability and employment history to aid in moving onward and upward once they leave the Hub.
Volunteer Purchase
The Northwest Hub still offers its popular volunteer purchase program, where members of our community can drop-in and schedule time to volunteer for a bike. These are folks who may not have the resources to purchase a bike or commit to the longer STEP program, but still need access to affordable transportation.
FRAME UP
Frame Up, our young adult job training and support program, provides technical training, transitional employment, and support from a licensed counselor to those navigating challenging life transitions.
Our recent cohort of four Frame Up participants completed an eight-month holistic training and employment program in fall of 2023 and all transitioned to new job and educational opportunities.
